Packing Foster Care Boxes ~ Spring Project

Registration is closed for this event

HICC Spring Caring for Our Community Project

Did you know that over 10,000 children entered the foster care system in Washington state last year? Children are placed into Foster Care everyday with nothing but the clothes on their backs. "Comfort Boxes" allow CPS workers to give each child a box of “personal care essentials” and a few comfort items to call their own while being placed into care.

This Caring for Our Community Project brings together volunteers who gather for a "packing session" where boxes are filled with personal care essentials and a few comfort items. The "event fee" for this event, covers the cost of purchasing the contents of the "Comfort Boxes."

You can purchse your "event fee" and make an additional donation or if you are unable to attend this event, but would still like to donate to the cause, you can do that through this link as well.

Thank you for your committment to the children in our community that are currently placed in the foster care system. Your support makes a difference to these youth in need!
