About Us
We are a group of local recreational gardeners who are passionate about learning, sharing, and fellowship in all things related to gardening. We strive to support the community by selecting annual projects that make an impact on the island and surrounding areas.
We meet at 4:00 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Harstine Island Community Hall. We seek out opportunities to learn through field trips, expert speakers, work parties, and shared knowledge. You do not need to possess gardening skills to join!
Fundraisers
Spring Plant Sale — The annual plant sale is held in May. Proceeds from the plant sale promote the love of gardening and civic/environmental responsibility through education, engagement, and charitable causes within our community.
Community Programs
Farmer’s Market — Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend thru September
Indoor Farmer’s Market — October thru December, February thru May
Harstine Acres — Greenhouse partnership and farm support
Harstine Island Community Hall — Grounds support and improvements
K-12 Education — Provide support to public school “green” educational programs
