Description
The Harstine Island Theatre Club presents a reader’s theatre collection of “Monologues, Poems, and Original Works” the second weekend in September. The collection, performed by the troupe, will include a diversity of work ranging from Shakespeare to The Cremation of Sam McGee, including some original pieces written by the actors specially for this production.
Reader’s theatre is a style of theater in which the actors present dramatic readings of narrative material without costumes, props, scenery, or special lighting. Actors use only scripts and vocal expression to help the audience understand the story, however, most of the actor’s presentation will be memorized.
With selections from:
- A Prairie Home Companion
- All the World’s a Stage
- MacBeth
- The Cremation of Sam McGee
