History
Since 1914 when island neighbors came together to build a small building for an athletic club which later became the Harstine Island Community Hall, the community spirit has been the cornerstone of Harstine Island. In 2014 the late Jeff Geibel and other community members envisioned population growth on the island and the need for expanded facilities. They established the Second Century Building Fund and the committee has continued that tradition by raising over $500,000 to date towards the goal of constructing an auxiliary building to augment our historic hall.
Fund Goals
Raise sufficient funds in order to complete the structure of an auxiliary building for the community. We look forward to continued support for our fundraising efforts from Harstine Island residents and others with an interest in preserving our island gathering place for future generations.
